It’s been another incredible year for Child’s Play, and we’re excited to announce the 2009 final total at $1,780,870.40. Sincere thanks go out to all of our donors and sponsors, who made this record-breaking year possible. Child’s Play remains a proud grassroots gamer charity, drawing support from video gamers and the video games industry. When gamers give back, it makes a big difference!

Photographs taken during the dinner auction at the Self Portrait Station are now online for viewing. We hope everyone who attended had a marvelous evening, and we thank the companies and guests who made the evening a success.

As we wrap up our toy drive season, you can still help Child’s Play out year round. We accept cash donations through PayPal and by check to the address above, and the Amazon wish lists will remain accessible. You can also show your support by purchasing a Child’s Play t-shirt, available in men’s and women’s styles (100% of proceeds will go to Child’s Play!). Why, it's the sound of the million dollar mark shattering! As of last week, Child’s Play donors poured over a million dollars into children’s hospitals worldwide. Wow. We hardly know what to say, except “thank you” to every individual who donates through PayPal or browses through a hospital wish list to pick out a special donation. It really does add up quickly. We'd also like to thank corporate sponsors Ventrilo, RAD Game Tools, NCSoft and the Norman Foundation for their help in breaking the million dollar mark.

But wait, there’s more! Our annual charity auction dinner wrapped up Tuesday night, bringing in over $200,000 in a single evening! The contributions from that event helped us leap closer to the record of 2008 as the total now sits at a staggering $1,302,367!!!

The live events are a great way to meet fellow gamers while (as evidenced this week) raising money for the cause. If you couldn’t make it to the dinner this year, check out other Child’s Play events near you!

We’re breaking records again this year, having completely sold out our annual dinner auction this morning. Thank you so much to everyone who purchased tickets, and we’re excited to see all of you at the auction next week! We have an amazing offering of rare and unique items up for bid, generously provided by game industry donors.

We have a lot to be thankful for this weekend, as our donation total leaps up to a staggering $748,312.10. Thank you so much to everyone who donated, whether you chose to give through Amazon, PayPal, or one of our community fundraisers. Speaking of fundraisers, we have a HUGE thank you for the Desert Bus for Hope marathon and its supporters, who raised a record-breaking $132,000. What an amazing week!

We are down to the last few tables available at our annual charity dinner auction. We hope you’ll consider joining us for a gala evening, on December 8th, of good food, good company and the chance to win some rare and unique items from the video gaming industry. Studio tours, concept art, games and consoles, original paintings and much, much more will be up for grabs!

This year, we’re proud to be adding seven new hospitals in the States and Canada to the Child’s Play network, so please have a look at the map to see if your local children’s hospital has come on board. Every hospital has a wish list full of gifts, and is hoping for your support. If you would like to learn more about getting a new hospital involved, please contact us to find out how.

We’re starting off the drive with a healthy total, thanks to the year-round support of the gamer community.
