The ADP Team is back for its third weekend-long marathon! We’ll be playing through Pokemon Ruby non-stop, with plenty of laughs and surprises in store. And we’ll interact with our viewers every step of the way by reading comments and tweets, sharing submitted fan art, letting donors name Pokemon, and much, much more.
Join us starting at 5 PM EDT on July 5th for hours of fun and entertainment for a great cause. We love having this chance to give back, and we hope to see you watch and donate.
The Philly Draw-a-thon is a 24 hour drawing marathon. Artists will get together and crank out as many sketches of popular comic, movie, and video game characters that they can in 24 hours. Each of these sketches will then be sold for $10. Last year we raised around $1000, and this year we’re hoping to triple that number. Check our Facebook and Twitter accounts for updates!

The Gearbox Union will be attending it’s first convention ever, Sci-Fi Valley Con (scifivalleycon.com/), and we wanted to make the most of it. So what better way then giving away free stuff?! We wanted to do more then just that though so while the raffle is free to enter, we’ll be asking for donations that will benefit Child’s Play. We’ll be handing out tickets and collecting donations all weekend, then we’ll be having the drawing at our panel on Sunday. You don’t have to come to win, but your chances and having the pick of prizes increase if you do. We have all kinds of prizes ranging from video games, geek gift cards, steampunk items, zombie toys, and more. So if you are in the area and coming to convention, stop by Table J2 and say hello!
Taking place at the Radisson hotel in downtown Austin, we’re bringing back our Cocktail Party and Charity Auction, bigger and better than ever! We’ll have a ton of awesome auction items from the videogame industry and RoosterTeeth community, food and drinks, musical entertainment, and more! 100% of the proceeds from this auction will be donated to Child’s Play Charity!
When I was a teenager I was diagnosed with Burkitt’s Lymphoma. I spent a lot of time in the hospital on a bed. I didn’t have the energy to move around and be active so I needed something to keep my mind occupied. So my father’s co-workers all pitched in together and got me a Gamecube and Gameboy Advance. That was probably the best gift I had ever received and I got it at the exact moment I needed it the most. Instead of focusing on the treatment I turned my focus to the game. It helped me escape the current world I was in and allowed me to feel like a normal kid again. That gift did so much more for me then just distract me, it impacted my personality and character. If I had not had that then I’m sure once my treatment had finished I probably would have been a completely different person with a different look on life. Instead I’m more optimistic, generous and an overall happy person. It’s actually sorta funny, when I think about my treatment the only
things that sticks out to me is playing games and joking around with my friends.
That was way back in 2004 and June 11th will mark the 9 year anniversary. To celebrate that wonderful event I want to give back to the community by doing the one thing that helped me the most during my treatment and that is playing video games.
With the help of my friends, we’ll be playing games and doing all sorts of fun events to raise money for Child’s Play. These events.range from a raffle, competing challenges and in general making a fool of ourselves over the internet.
Join us at http://www.twitch.tv/streamdrinkandgame ,June 15th, to enjoy the celebration
Regards from,
John Erdogan

On May 5th 2012, a group of friends based out of Longwood University tried to break two Guinness World Records, but they were soundly defeated. A year later, starting on May 6th, 2013, Matt, Will, Jeanne, and Dan return to take on new Guinness World Records for their chance for redemption.
It’s not all about the records. Just like last year, the LPCP crew will be raising money for Child’s Play Charity, a charity organization that raises money for books, toys, movies, and games for children’s hospitals around the world. We have hand-made crafts ready to go to the home of the lucky winners of our live-auctions!
During the attempts the crew will have call-ins such as Jamie Dillion of Child’s Play Charity, James Higginbotham of Pure Nintendo Magazine, and Brittney, “Chiki” Fischer of the D20 Girls.
These people will also be answering your questions. Just go to the call-in page on our website, and type in your question. When the person calls in, we will be asking him/her your question over the live-stream.
There are also challenge-achievements, challenges the players have to perform after a certain amount of money is raised. These can be performed by players and helpers alike.
Keep checking out our website to see updates, such as guest call-in times and auction times!
They have a little over 72 hours to collect as many records and as much money as possible. Can the LPCP crew do it, or will they walk way defeated once again?

The Crew will be streaming for 24 straight hours and asking our fans to donate to the Childsplay charity. We hope to raise $500-$1000 for the charity.
We run a gaming channel on YouTube and we have around 50,000 subscribers.
We think the Childsplay charity is an awesome charity since gaming is near and dear to us. We hope this can be something we done as an ongoing event to raise money for Childsplay.
We’re the Social Gaming Club at the University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign, and for 24 hours, starting Saturday morning at 12 AM, we’ll be playing videogames for charity!
Two stream will be up and running, for a total of 48 hours of content. Our schedule of games on our website will likely be changed around a bit as we set up definite time slots, but we have a lot of people eager to help out!
I hope to see you there (or rather see you on the stream)!
Join us when we go live at noon EST on April 6th for the 4th annual “For the Kids” featuring 24-hours of live streaming, video game playing to help raise money for Child’s Play.
Child’s Play seeks to improve the lives of children in hospitals around the world. Since 2003, the organization has been helping children in hospitals for various illnesses by purchasing games, consoles and more.
Each year brings new and interesting challenges to the Iron Man competition that takes place during our first day of play. Our contestants pit themselves against one another in events like shooting the most ducks in “Duck Hunt” while power walking on a treadmill. The event also features a team Iron Man competition to see which duo can claim the rights to the bronze head trophy.
Three live screens of game play will be viewable on www.forthekidsmarathon.com during the length of the marathon. “For the Kids” loves to involve its viewers, so jump in the website’s chat room to say hello. Odds are you’ll get a shout out from our M.C. We invite our watchers to submit their own challenges to our players. Think someone in our group can’t play the first level of “Dark Souls” without dying? Dare us. Previous viewer submitted challenges have resulted in our players getting pies in the face for failing in their attempts to beat the challenge. Interacting and donating to help Child’s Play in their mission to bring gaming entertainment to children in hospitals can also result in some goodies. Random donors are selected to win assorted prizes.
Donating is easy. Simply click the link on our website which will reroute you straight to Child’s Play’s giving site. That’s right, no middle man, you are assured that every dollar you donate goes right to the charity.
All the fun can be viewed live on www.forthekidsmarathon.com starting at noon EST on April 6th. Updates will also be featured on our Facebook fan page, www.facebook.com/forthekidsvideogamemarathon, and on Twitter @FortheKidsM.
A bunch of friends and I will be performing a marathon of all the Halo games released so far, from Halo Combat Evolved, to Halo 4 (Minus Halo Wars).
We’ll be attempting to beat all the campaign modes, in order of release, on heroic difficulty, within 24 Hours.
One or two of us will HAVE to be awake at all times, and if we finish the games early, we’ll play some multi-player for the rest of the time.
WARNING: Moderate bad language should be expected from the games and possibly from us, the players.
WeFinishFirst, a video game marathon group in Harrisonburg, VA, will be having a 48 hour marathon dedicated to Nintendo games! Donations of $5 or more will go towards a raffle for some original artwork as well as encourage us to play the games in different and imaginative ways.
For the link to the donation page, please see our twitch page!
Hi all, the plan for this event is to play through every single Quake game and mulitplayer one after the other. As you know this will take some time and will be a NON-STOP stream (unless there is a technical fault) currently there are 3-4 of us who will be doing this all from the UK, so it’s going to end up alternating between 1 or 4 people playing at once, and in some cases all views being shown at once so you can see the different styles we play in. the main stream will be held here
http://www.ustream.tv/channel/knux-s-channel
any more questions for this event feel free to contact us via the website with all information on or email us.
Live streaming for 24hrs featuring World of Warcraft events including a Pet Battles Tournament, a Starcraft Heart of the Swarm tournament and more!
Child’s Play at Cogswell Arcade is a charity event that is being put on by a group of Entrepreneurship students at Cogswell Polytechnical College in Sunnyvale, Ca
The purpose of the event is to raise awareness and funds for the local charity, Child’s Play. “Child’s Play seeks to improve the lives of children in hospitals around the world through the kindness and generosity of the video game industry and the power of play.”
Our event, Child’s Play at Cogswell Arcade, will be taking place on April 27th, during Cogscon, Cogswell Polytechnical College Comicbook convention, at the school’s Sunnyvale location 1175 Bordeaux Drive, Sunnyvale Ca.
CogsCon is an independent art convention hosted by Cogswell College Comic Creation Club (C4) and Cogswell’s Associate Student Body (ASB). The idea behind this convention is to celebrate Cogswell College and everything it teaches: Digital Art, 3D Animation, Digital Audio, Video-games, Comic Books, and everything else in the nerd’s paradise.
Child’s Play At Cogswell Arcade will be located inside Cogscon during the entire festival and will be a hub of gaming glory! Throughout the day there will be a plethora of activities for Cogscon attendees to enjoy.
In the arcade there will be three main gaming experiences: Dungeons & Dragons, Warhammer 40K Tournament, and a couple crazy games of CLUE, where participants are encouraged to dress up as their favorite character.
As well as the three main events there will also be a large amount of random gaming activity including decks of cards, other board games such as Sorry, Hungry Hungry Hippos, Monoploy, etc. and a group of Classic Video game consoles (Sega Master System, NES, Nintendo Gamecube, and more) for all to play throughout the day.
To partake in the three main game events there will be a required donation to Child’s Play of at least $5. All other games and activities will be free to play, but we will have tablets and computer stations open and available for ANYONE to make a donation.
Child’s Play at Cogswell Arcade will also be accepting physical donations to give directly to The Children’s Hospital in Oakland Ca.
For every km that me and my girlfriend hitchhike around Australia and New Zealand in 2013-2014 we will donate 5 US dollar cents to Child’s Play Charity. This is similar to my 5000 mile / 8000 km hitchhike trip in 2012 from New York to Las Vegas when I donated 30 dollar cents per mile. Being a gamer/traveler/hitchhiker this is my own funny way of helping out :)
Noise Channel Radio, a live show focused on chiptunes and chiptune culture, is proud to put together and release a charity album for Child’s Play!

There’s only one thing better than playing games all day: playing games all day for charity!
March 30th is International Tabletop Day, and this is our chance to make this day a monumental occasion! Come join us to eat some food, raise money for charity, and play your favorite tabletop games among friends new and old.
Everything is completely FREE, with free food and games provided all day long. In addition, there will be both a raffle and an auction with plenty of great items up for grabs!
Every single cent donated during the day goes straight to Child’s Play, an organization that provides games to kids who are hospital-ridden and could use some games to help them out. By coming together to enjoy games as a group, we will in turn provide those less fortunate the opportunity to do the same! How cool is that?
We’ll kick off at noon and play all the way to 7PM. At 7 we will draw the raffle winners, and it will be immediately followed by a charity auction for many of the games played during the course of the day – as well as some other goodies to boot!
Whether you want to play some of your old favorites or try something new, regardless of if you want something lighthearted or strategic, there will be plenty of options available. And if you just want to hang out with some cool people and mingle, that’s perfectly fine too!
Whether I already know you or not, feel free to come by at any time throughout the day, play some of the best tabletop games out there, and, if you can, donate a little bit to Child’s Play. Inviting your friends is not only allowed, but highly encouraged - invite as many people as you can!
And as if all that wasn’t enough, it’s my birthday so there will *definitely* be a cake!
Let me know if you have any questions, and stay tuned for any updates. See you there!

We look forward to having another great marathon, and hope to see you there!

Last year, we did a last minute marathon to test out our setup. And because I hate my friends, we’re doing it again! This time, we’re playing N+ Co-op, Bit.Trip Runner 2, La Mulana, I Wanna Be The Guy, and Super Meat Boy’s Dark World with NO practice! Come and watch the rage quits! For charity!
This month will be my first of monthly 24 hour streams for charity. Though I’m only one person this will be my chance to help out and give to a good cause. I’ll be starting small and building up over the next few months. Games played will include a mix of Indie games and AAA titles, and there will be a lot of viewer participation.
We’re doing a 32 hour LAN party and playing through classic PC and console games from start to finish! Games will include classics like Doom II & Descent, to newer titles like Portal and The Binding of Isaac. We’ll also play retro title consoles start to finish!
Northern High School will be hosting a Super Smash Bros Brawl tournament in the cafeteria from 4:00PM until it ends. We will have a standard double-elimination bracket (and hopefully a melee losers bracket!). There will be concessions for sale. Feel free to donate food for our bake sale/ concessions sale. All the proceeds will go to the Child’s Play Charity.
1st prize is a $50 Gamestop giftcard. Runner-up prizes TBD.
Entry fee - $5.00
Hope to see you there!
An all night lock-in to play games and raise money for Child’s Play! Console gaming, PC gaming, board games, card games, pen and paper, and a dedicated movie room for awesome films like Star Wars and Indiana Jones. Bring anything! And feel free to wear your comfiest jammies.
FOOD: We will be selling all-you-can-eat pancakes for $3, as well as other delicious treats and beverages to keep you fueled throughout the night. The event is free, but we will also be accepting donations—all proceeds from this event will be sent to Child’s Play!

When I was a kid, I was in and out of the hospital most of my childhood because of Nephrotic Syndrome. A disease that caused full body swelling and protein to escape my body through my urine due to improper kidney filtration. Over the years, I got to know the people working at the children’s hospital. Last year, when I finally started to get into youtubing, I noticed a lot of youtubers doing livestreams for Child’s Play. I thought to myself, how could I give back. So I came up with the idea of a charity livestream for my local children’s hospital. Since they helped me out a whole lot when I was a kid, I can give back as an adult and that is why I feel the need to do this livestream.

Each year we get together to play board games for 60 hours straight. During the marathon, we accept donations to Child’s Play charity. Donating money gives the donator the ability to choose which games will be played and/or which players have to play them. The idea is that, by donating, you get to watch the games you want to see, and force the players of your choice to stay awake longer.
On February 22nd, the Omnithon Team will bring you the ULTIMATE GAMING CHALLENGE!
Two teams will battle it out for 48 hours by competing in gaming challenges on systems ranging from the Atari to the Xbox to determine who truly is the Ultimate Gamer.
