To Robert, Mike, and Jerry.

I'd just like to say thanks. Every year I get excited about the Child's Play and I've never been able to participate. Now that I have a job I am even more excited because I have a chance to donate this year and not just spread the word to anyone who will listen.

When I was in my teen years I spent a good amount of time in Children's Hospital and ended up staying there for weeks at a time. It was a very intimidating experience for me having just turned 12. I often found myself with nothing to do but worry. I would bring video games from home, or if I was lucky enough I'd get to use the video game cart they would drag around. I passed most of the time with Mario Kart 64 of Zelda Ocarina of Time.

I always used them later in the evening when most of the kids were already asleep, but one day woke up with a hankering for some racing. I found out there was a long waiting list for use of the cart, I was surprised to find out they only had 1.

I know what it's like to be in the hospital, and if you don't have anything to keep you occupied it can be a scary experience. I never had it too bad, but from a former patient's perspective, this charity is one of the best and most meaningful events of the holiday season.

So thanks, guys.
